This will be a special one-off night where Sámi artists Ella Marie Hætta Isaksen and Niilas bring innovative sounds and music making to The Corner. Together, they will offer audiences a rare and resonant glimpse into the evolving future of Sámi music. It’s a unique chance to experience sounds and performances that are rarely staged in the UK.
About the artists
Ella Marie Hætta Isaksen is a Sámi musician, joik singer and land defender. As a former county leader of Natur og Ungdom and key voice in the Nussir copper mine protests, she weaves together music and activism, advocating for Sámi rights and environmental justice.
